DETAILS
The monstera (often referred to as a Split Leaf Philodendron, though it isn’t actually in the same genus as the Philodendrons) is a favorite of ours for adding a little green to a room- pop a leaf or two in a pretty vessel and you have the impact of a plant, in a more compact form. As gorgeous as a single leaf can be, bring in a full Monstera plant and you’ve got a major visual upgrade- with those graphic leaves, and its vine-like stems that can get pretty wild- totally jungalicious!
Aerial roots will grow from the stem- tuck those that will reach into the soil and secure upper roots to a planting stake. Wipe leaves regularly with a soft cloth to reduce dust and keep them glossy.
